This is a weirdly shaped tree in Clingendael, The Hague that is now fenced due to idiots vandalizing it. It's apparently 300+ years old and most of it is buried underground.
I light painted it with a tool I made consisting of 3 COB LEDs with a strobe controller (see bottom). I set the strobe controller to fade in/out mode and was extremely lucky to have managed to make a spiral where the fade in/out is aligned on the left side. I also used a simple white LED light for the contours.
