Neo Silicate
Tonight, I decided to finally use some candy wraps I had saved ages ago because I liked the colors. This kind of cellophane has lots of creases and wrinkles, unlike professional color gels which are generally made from tougher plastic. I wanted to explore what kind of highlights and textures I could get from the wrinkles on the wraps by rotating them on a turntable while slowly panning the camera. I taped the wraps to a transparent tube with diffraction grating inside and placed a strobing light inside the tube (see bottom). Exposure times are arround 14s.
